this is off-topic so for more details will be probably better to check with
Fedora/RHEL/CentOS user groups/documentation.

chkconfig uses a comment in the init script that tells it which runlevels to
enable/disable and at which levels and from what I recall, the gmetad/gmond
init scripts which are part of the package had those comments already and so
all that should be needed is to tell chkconfig to use them (for example)

  # chkconfig --add gmond
