Hi Naoya,
From my experience the host name is determined by reverse lookup
of the IP address gmond binds too on the node. So in DNS PTR (reverse
lookup) records should be made for all your nodes and then Ganglia
gmetad will report the names correctly. If no reverse lookup is set
for your hosts, ganglia will only show the IP addresses.
