Hi Nathan,

before I start to compile a few test programs to investigate that issue, could you please try the following two things:

1) Does nmon run properly ?
nmon is available from http://www-941.ibm.com/collaboration/wiki/display/WikiPtype/nmon
nmon also uses libperfstat so should suffer from similar effects.

2) Is there a chance to reboot the LPAR to see if the effects are still there ?

Thanks.

Regards,

Michael

Michael,

I've looked into the OS issues relating the two systems and everything appears to be the same here as well. I've left some notes below. I've also tried stopping and starting gmond, as well as a full re-installation of the binaries on the System 2 LPAR below having the errant data.

System 1 (correct):

$ lslpp -w /usr/lib/libperfstat.a

  File                                        Fileset               Type

  /usr/lib/libperfstat.a

                                        bos.perf.libperfstat        File

$ lslpp -L bos.perf.libperfstat

Fileset Level State Type Description (Uninstaller)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

bos.perf.libperfstat 5.3.0.60 C F Performance Statistics Library
