I have a many java applications that I'm starting using gexecd when
shutting these apps down using pkill I get left with tons of Z processes
.

Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

I start my apps doing something like gexec -n 0
'/path/to/runApp_java.sh'

To stop the apps I do something like gexec -n 0 'pkill -f java.app -u
${USER}'

Any help would be appreciated as this is starting to become annoying.
