I have been taking a look at Ganglia, as Im interested in using it for
monitoring virtualized AIX environments.

I have been following Nigel Griffiths excellent guide in the AIX wiki,
and have a working setup in the same way as his "Blue cluster" example.
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/wikis/display/WikiPtype/ganglia

To clarify, I have a standalone AIX 6.1 server which is running the
gmetad v3.0.7, apache 2.2.8/php 5.2.6.

Each physical system is configured to be a "cluster", and consists of a
pair of VIO servers, and 10 virtual LPARs. I have gmond v3.07 running
on both VIO servers, and also on all client LPARs . The gmond on the
VIO's are acting as head nodes to which the client LPARs forward their
data.. Each VIO then forwards the data to the gmetad on the standalone
server where gmetad is running. The gmetad is configured with both
VIO's as data sources, currently using unicast.

All looks to be working well, apart from the fact that I dont see any
data from the VIO's themselves. Only the client lpars.
Im sure it's a simple config error on my part. Any ideas what i need to
do to correct this ?

Thanks in advance.
