Brad Nicholes very kindly got me on the right track. The problem was that the gmond running on the VIO's only had 1 udp send channel configured back to the gmetad. I needed to add a 2nd udp send channel so that the VIO's send data to themselves too. Regards Alex Ring Technology - Unix Team.
