Yes, but not with gmetric. gmetric is just a way to feed custom metrics into gmond, which will in turn send them to gmetad, which will store them in RRD files like it does with other metrics. What graphs you get out of the available metrics is all under the control of ganglia-web, which is a collection of PHP scripts that makes up the web UI of Ganglia. ganglia-web doesn't know what came from gmetric and doesn't care. So yes, you can do what you want, but it doesn't involve doing anything with gmetric. Look in ganglia-web's graph.d/ directory for examples of how to define graphs, and man rrdtool, rrdgraph, rrdgraph_data for reference on rrd's graphing features and the language used to configure graphs. -- Cos ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
