Hi Bernard, thanks for your answer. The answers to your questions are down the mail. In the meantime we found out the possible cause of the trouble. We have changed the firewall settings (using the GUI), opening for http and https and maybe for some other protocols, I can't remember. After that: ganglia cannot find any metrics...... In the default setting of Rocks only SSH is open. The problem is you cannot simply undo it. Even after unchecking all except SSH, using the GUI again, and rebooting, ganglia is not working any more. We found a (not really satisfying) workaround. After disabling the firewall, ganglia was working again.
