If you followed the tutorial, you would've added the modpython stuff
in gmond.conf.  If you have that both in gmond.conf and
modpython.conf, then that could be a reason why it's loaded twice.
Can you please confirm?

Also, since you're using a RHEL-based distribution, I would recommend
that you install Ganglia via RPM packages as opposed to installing
from source.  You can build the RPMs by running `rpmbuild -tb --target
x86_64,noarch ganglia-3.1.7.tar.gz`.
