I've set Ganglia up across all our EC2 instances just a few weeks ago.  This
is the chef cookbook which we're
using<https://github.com/gchef/ganglia-cookbook>.
It's our own, written from scratch. There are a few other ones on github,
but they were a far cry from a working version.

A blog post would be greatly needed, I know, but time is rarely on my
side. This
gist <https://gist.github.com/1453445> should give you all the hints needed
to get the cookbook working ; ).
