I just tried it with CVS from late last night after the "remove debug
comment" ChangeLog, and cannot reproduce the problem. If I load a file
that had the problem, switch the option to don't display and back to
gray scale, the problem goes away. It looks like something got fixed.
If it comes back, I have a short file to send.
