Hi Kevin, I think you are "above average". A 2.5L 150 CID engine on woodgas at 1800rpm IMO is only 15 "practical" HP.
Pristine gas evolution might achieve your 21.4 HP, but I would factor low, instead of high, the small savings in fuel is no where the losses, if the generator "browns out" taking all the appliances and electrical goodies with it. I would still shoot for a 292 CID engine for 20 HP at 1800 RPM. Oh, BTW, even a really "good" used engine would be only 80% of it's "New" Hp rating on gasoline, again, I would factor more CID to compensate for a used engine.
