CO+H2 over the proper catalyst = mostly methanol and small amounts of other
things. This can be done at lower temps and pressures than ever before but if
the gas is not pure (2 parts per BILLION, yes with a B) of CO2 will poison the
catalyst.

Now, is there anyone out there doing this on a small scale? I was thinking that
if the feedstock was cheap enough that a fairly inefficient process would still
work. ( older catalyst with higher temps and pressure on a small scale) Any
thoughts?
