I got a call from a group today that has several very large projects in
development in South America and Mexico. One of their processes was taking MSW
and converting it to diesel fuel. He described parts of the process and said
that they take the basic compounds and hydrogenate them to diesel fuel. My
question was where do you get the hydrogen and the power for the process? His
quick answer was after a few minutes of conversation asking details of where
these inputs come from resulted in his having to go to the chief engineer and
ask.
There is also a big question of what to do with the massive amounts of
char left over from the process and he acknowledged that bio-char wasn't an
option, so I told him to convert it to hydrogen and then treat it so that it
can be a spectacular fertilizer and sell it for big bucks. That got some
attention for sure.
The primary reason he called me was they had designed and gotten the
money for a waste to energy gasification project and then figured out the
gasifier supplier couldn't deliver. Happens a lot I told him.
Thermogenics has signed a $40mm joint venture agreement for a MSW to
power plant in Africa. Funded there.
Sincerely,
Leland T. "Tom" Taylor

Bird Discount Expiring Tomorrow
Ha ha! At one get-together, one of the volunteer
organizers spent about half an hour rationalizing her theft of various
IP, and then asked me for details on mine. Luckily I was smart enough to
be struck dumb.

Yes Leland! One I attended I was publicly dressed down by
one of the "Leading" Bioenergy Research Gurus because I hadn't patented
our breakthrough and he needed the information to fix his own

Never had a single prospect close a deal from a conference...the
conference organisers at the prices charged seem to do OK though! Still
if you can afford it not a bad social occasion...so maybe other reasons
to attend.
Cheers,

Yeaaaa! I have never made a sale at a conference, often
don't get returned phone calls from supposedly excited prospects.
