Ken,
Thanks for the link to the comprehensive Stirling list. A 5-10 kWe Stirling fired by a gasifier would seem to be a good combination for small scale applications. DK Stirling had a 9 kWe generator running in the early 1990s that never became a commercial product. Okofen launched their 5kWe pellet fired boiler with a Qnergy or Microgen Stirling for demonstration last year. Does anyone know what their experience has been? http://www.okofen-e.com/en/pellematic_smart_e/ Tom From: Gasification [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ken Boak Sent: Wednesday, January 04, 2017 12:14 AM To: Discussion of biomass pyrolysis and gasification <[email protected]> Subject: SPAM: Re: [Gasification] Lost Colleague. He was part of a group of young German engineers working with Dieter Viebach and his 500W Stirling engine. In 1987, a German student called Bernd Kammerich wrote to me about gasification for their application with Stirling engines. He went on to develop his gasifier and eventually was able to test his engine on producer gas. I last heard from him in 2004 when he was working with Austrian/Swiss links to bring his technology to commercial application. His email address is no longer current, so does anyone know of he can be contacted please. I don't use Face book or Linkedin for privacy reasons.
