I QUIT!

You find some one else who has more time than me, like rhillyard here, to do
this. Ungrateful.......

I have 3 small kids (all under 2) at home and I don't always have time to
sit down in front of the PC on weekends to post articles the minute they pop
up on the website. I can do that during the week A LOT easier than I can on
weekends. If I'm a day late or a little later in the day on the weekends,
is it really that big of a deal? Obviously to some people it is!

I had over 400 emails on Sunday to sift through and I had less than 30
minutes while they were napping to do it in. On top of all the text editing
I have to do to get these in the "proper" format, I didn't have time to see
who posted what from the Gainesville Sun for me. I thought I was helping,
but if I'm causing people like this to have a coronary then ask him to do
it. He obviously has the time and is looking for some thing to do to help
out the group.

I QUIT!

> Urban Meyer wants a dominant running back in his offense, but it really
wasn't
> necessary Saturday.
> Florida had 11 players run the ball - six were running backs - for 255
yards in
> the 56-10 drubbing of Hawaii.
> And all of it happened without UF's most consistent home-run threat from
out of
> the backfield in junior receiver Percy Harvin. The first touchdown of the
game
> even came off of a 1-yard run by running back/receiver Brandon James
(three
> carries for 16 yards) of all people.
>
> The Gators' stable of running backs was so active that for the first time
in a
> season opener under Meyer, UF's backs combined for more than 100 yards
(187
> yards on 21 carries).
>
> "It's going to be interesting as this thing progresses," Meyer said of the

> running back rotation. "One of the great thrills of being a coach is being
able
> to have some really good looking checkers to put on your checkerboard and
we
> have some right now, especially at running back."
>
> Two of those checkers were of the travel-sized addition in freshmen Chris
Rainey
> and Jeffrey Demps. Rainey (5-8) finished the game with six rushes for 58
yards
> and an electrifying 33-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Demps (5-8)
ran
> twice for 76 yards, displaying pure speed on his 62-yard dash to the end
zone
> early in the third quarter.
>
> "We kind of like fast people around here and Demps is fast," Meyer said.
"Jeff
> Demps can really run and he's not a track guy playing football. He's a
football
> player."
>
> After cutting to the left off an excellent block up the middle by center
> Maurkice Pouncey and then slipping through a tackle, the unfair foot race
> between Demps and a couple Hawaii defenders was on.
>
> "When I broke the tackle and I saw some space I kind of knew I was going
to
> score, but at the same point I was thinking I had to just outrun him,"
Demps
> said of his touchdown run. "I was running fast but I know I can run
faster. I
> was running pretty hard, too."
>
> While Rainey and Demps impressed throughout, the highly anticipated debut
of
> Southern Cal transfer Emmanuel Moody did not go as planned and senior
Kestahn
> Moore -- who Meyer said had his best preseason camp - didn't even start
and had
> an average day on the ground.
>
> Bothered by what Meyer called a sprained ankle in his postgame press
conference,
> Moody ran the ball only two times for 2 yards.
>
> Moore, who is expected to play more fullback this season, lined up in the
> backfield opposite Tebow for most of the game, but only had seven carries
for 33
> yards.
>
> But after the show Demps and Rainey put on Saturday, the lack of
excitement from
> Moody and Moore is a mere afterthought. If the younger backs can keep up
their
> big-play style, UF's backfield could be one of the toughest to contain in
the
> country once Harvin returns.
>
> UF's ground game was solid last year (200.2 yards per game) without a true

> dominant running back and after the play of the two freshmen backs, this
could
> be yet another season where UF uses an arsenal of runners to get solid
> production.
>
> "For the running backs, that's good so we can just keep pounding the ball
every
> game, one at a time," Rainey said. "That's all coach Meyer is looking for.
We
> couldn't do that for a couple years and we did what coach Meyer thought we
were
> going to do. I guess we're going to get the ball a lot."
