Woody,

Apologies for the sarcasm. I know we both love our Gators and feel the pain.
In all kinds of weather. Peace Brother

No I am not drunk nor have I had a drop of alcohol all weekend.

No I did not lose any money. however. if I had bet with the spread I would
have won because I picked Ole Miss not expecting UF to cover.

Yes. I know I sound like I am spoiled as has been pointed out here many times
before.

Yes.. The Oline is still a problem.

Yes. the coaches mostly failed by not letting Tebow be Tebow, though I don't
necessarily disagree with that because it forces the others to grow up and for
Tebow to trust them. Maybe they're not as talented as we thought and its time
to going back to being mostly one dimensional and for Tebow to be Tebow.

I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. I am not a Tebow hater any ANY
stretch of the imagination. I love that boy more than you can know.. and one
quick tour of my house right now would prove that. I don't think he got enough
credit for helping us get to the NC game in 06, and shed more tears than I care
to admit when he won the Heisman and I couldn't be anymore thrilled that he
used that as a launching pad to help so many others.

Tebow took the blame for this loss because he is the leader of the team and
he was absolutely right to do so. He will grow tremendously by doing so so
long as he uses it to motivate and focus.

Im sorry if anyone took offense to what I said. but I am not the one to
raised those questions to begin with. I merely paid attention.

  Woody,

I hope you were still drunk when you typed this mess and I hope it takes 3
alka seltzers to settle the hangover and upset stomach that should accompany
it.

I don't know what game you were watching, but Tim Tebow played his heart out.
He completed 24 of 38 for 319 yds and a TD plus he ran for td more TD's.
There were numerous drops and he did over thow the deep ball late in the game
when our vastly overrated OL allowed constant pressure by the Ole Miss DL and
blitzing LB's. He was both focused and efficient. Our biggest problem is the
attitude of our team. We are not tough..... as a matter of fact the only
player on our team that is called tough is Tebow. We have a bunch of players
that are called talented, but we aren't noted for being a tough team. Ole Miss
came into our stadium and just beat us up physically.... on both the OL and
DL.... where all games are really won or lost. The WR's and RB's get the
glory, but whoever wins in the trenches wins the game. That's where the game
was lost. Did you pay any attention to the 4th and 1 play..... we ran behind
the Pouncey's and Watkins........ both Pounceys got knocked backward off the
LOS and the DE speed rushed around Watkins and TT was hit 2 yards deep in the
backfield........ blame that one on him if you care to. It has nothing to do
with his Christian values. If you resent them and think it detracts from his
play, you are way off base, they are the reason for his character, intensity,
competitiveness and leadership. We are lucky to have him just as he is.

Sounds more to me like you lost a big bet on the game

And he should be damn sorry. He is the leader of this team. He knows its
on his shoulders to be super focused and efficient.

There is something going on with Tebow that we may not be aware of. either
physically. or more probable mentally. his head is not on right. his focus and
preparation were already under scrutiny coming into this season because he
spent all summer playing pastor-wannabe. That is where his heart is and
honorable as it may be.. I know.. but he has a job to do and I think he has to
make a choice. yesterday was not entirely his fault.. but he deserves the brunt
of the blame. I think he and the rest of the team needed this loss to wake the
hell up.

    Tebow D

    Coaches F

    Moody B+ other backs C-

    Harvin and the receivers D

    Oline D-

    Defense C-

This loss wasn't that much of a surprise to me.. and when they are
available... my picks will show that. I said it once already.. but I don't
like it when Im right. This game is a culimination of everything we have
hidden that was wrong with this team. I don't think this was just a "one game
slip up".

Ill be in Tampa again Thurs afternoon thru Sun.. hopefully sitting at
Chilis or somewhere watching a very different team. Hopefully one that's gone
back square one.

Out of 85 players on scholarship - we only have one player that is sorry?
Only one player that is going to try harder?

This was a team loss. Coaches, players, etc. This was not a Tim Tebow
loss.

Until we have 85 players that are trying harder - it will be "wait until
next year".

            Tebow sorry, promises better days

            BY DAVID JONES
            FLORIDA TODAY

Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was emotional after the fourth-ranked
Gators' 31-30 loss to Ole Miss on Saturday and before leaving the interview
room sent a message to Gator followers.

"To the fans and everybody in Gator Nation: You know what? I'm
sorry, extremely sorry," a misty-eyed Tebow said. "We were hoping for an
undefeated season, that was my goal. It's something Florida has never done
here. But I promise you one thing. A lot of good will come out of this. You
have never seen any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play
the rest of the season."

It was Ole Miss' first win against a ranked team since a 20-13 win
against No. 3 Notre Dame in 1977. The Rebels, who hadn't won an SEC road game
in four seasons, ended a 15-game losing streak to ranked teams.

Tebow came into the game without a rushing touchdown this season,
after becoming the first player in NCAA history to rush and pass for 20
touchdowns in a season a year ago. He managed a pair of 1-yard scores against
the Rebels, but was held to seven yards on 15 rushes against the Rebels after
picking up 166 on 27 attempts in last year's game in Oxford.

He still hasn't thrown an interception in his last 183 attempts,
however, which is the fifth-longest streak in SEC history.

            Streak ends

Florida had not turned the ball over so far this season, the only
team in the nation that could make that claim, prior to Saturday. But the
Gators coughed it up three times.

"Three turnovers and dropped passes made the offense
non-functional," UF coach Urban Meyer said.

The last time the Gators lost three fumbles in a game was a 34-17
win at Vanderbilt on Nov. 6, 2004.

"We're real disappointed," UF offensive lineman Mike Pouncey said.
"We played real sloppy on the offensive side."

            Swim stars honored

Gator graduates and Olympic swim medalists Ryan Lochte and Dara
Torres were honored at halftime. Both have been extremely busy since the
Olympic Games. Both appeared on "Oprah Winfrey." Daytona had a Ryan Lochte Day
on Sept. 17, about a week after he rang the bell at the New York Stock
Exchange. Torres was on the "Tonight Show" and threw out the first pitch at a
New York Yankees game.

She's working on two books -- one on physical fitness and the other
on her life story. Lochte has definite plans to compete in the 2012 Games in
London. Torres, the oldest woman to ever win an Olympic medal at 41, could be a
different story -- but don't count her out yet. She plans to train for the
World Championships and take it from there.

"I can't say, 'no,' just because the previous two (Olympics) I said
that and then I came back," Torres said of London.

            Stunned silence

Florida cornerback Joe Haden said the locker room was beyond just a
little quiet after the defeat.

"You could have heard a pin drop," he said. "There was nobody
talking, nobody saying anything. People were just sitting at their lockers in
full pads. . . . We're going to keep fighting and try to finish off our season
undefeated."

            Noteworthy

Gator offensive linemen Jim Tartt (shoulder) and Marcus Gilbert
(ankle) both left the game, in addition to running back Emmanuel Moody (ankle).
Linebacker Ryan Stamper (ankle) didn't play. . . . Former Gator basketball
player David Huertas, who left UF after playing on the 2006 national title team
and transferred to Ole Miss, was in town to cheer on the Rebels. . . . Ex-Gator
star running back Errict Rhett was introduced to the crowd and greeted with a
loud ovation after the first quarter. . . . Brandon James had 26 yards in punt
return yardage, breaking the UF career mark of 860 held by Keiwan Ratliff
(2000-03).
