There were VERY strict limits. There were 36 of us fishing, and it seemed like
the deck hands threw 4 out of 5 of the fish I caught back in. It was so
frustrating to see this beautiful fish that you just brought up from the bottom
just tossed back in with no apology or compassion. I personally only had about
8 or 10 fish that were tagged and kept. My biggest was a little over 9 lbs. The
biggest catch in our group was a red snapper that weighed almost 12 lbs. He was
a monster!

I thought there was a strict limit on reds. Have they come back? I remember
catching them and snook like crazy when I was growing up.

The fishing was GREAT! We ended up with about 200 lbs of fresh red snapper
and grouper after cleaning. We went out for 1/2 day last year and caught about
the same. We went out for a full day this year after being told we would go
much farther out to where the "REALLY big fish were". I recommend the half-day
trip. We had very few bites "out farther" and had to come back in to catch fish.

All in all, it was a great trip, but the ride home yesterday was frigid! I
forgot my thermal socks and my jacket liner.

One more total un-American who would beat up his own certified grandfather
at a dinner-on-the-grounds has been heard from. Gheesh!

    How was the fishing, twerp?

But, I think the boy is salvageable. Bear with him, as best you can.

Who brought up this un-American stuff? Cut it out! It's un-American.

Leon has a twisted sense of humor. You should know that by now, and just
overlook him. Just try and picture your senile grandfather who is normally a
very sweet guy but can zap off a zinger or two out of the blue which leaves you
scratching your head and wondering if you should punch him. ;-)
