Actually that is an old technique, if a motion player gets to his spot too soon
or if the qb changes cadence the motion player can keep their feet moving as
long as they don't move forward toward the line of scrimmage. We used it back
when I played....... Leather helmet days......... LOL

I believe it may have been a new wrinkle because I recall Demps doing
the same thing.

I've never noticed it before, but I saw Harvin running in place prior
to the snap during the SC game. I guess that is allowed since he was never
flagged for it, but that might explain his "quickest first step" mentioned by
Randy below.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Percy Harvin has the quickest first step in college football today,
Harvin goes from a stand still to full speed faster than the Road Runner, but
he must be slowing down, it took him 13 seconds to run 80 yards to start the
3rd quarter. Damn, these guys a playing really really well right now, but this
is no time to get the big head, stay focused on the prize. Next up the
Citadel, to quote B A Barracus of the A-Team “I pity the fools”, hopefully the
starters can be in street clothes by halftime.
