When I started at PJC I really didn't know what field of major I wanted, but after working on both the newspaper and annual staff, I knew I wanted to major in Journalism. At the time (1970's) UF had the only College of Journalism. Every other University had Journalism as a school in their Arts department. I never got to fulfill my dream of being the next Ernest Hemingway, but that degree opened doors for me. UF's College of Journalism is a wonderful school.
