I assume you know that Patchan was recruited as an OL tackle and played the position all through HS. I realize there is big difference between HS and college, but it is not like he is starting from scratch.

Jeff Demps and Brandon James will line up in the backfield and at receiver in an effort to replace Percy Harvin.>> Why would Rainey only be a RB while the other two play the Harvey position? <<Meyer said offensive tackle Matt Patchan had such a good spring that he could win a starting job if he continues to develop during fall drills. >> They sure are sky high about a guy (Patchan) that has hardly played OL. Maybe Patchan is that incredible at everything he does? I hear Patchan is a great guy - but he just moved to OL and then was hurt most of the spring. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
