Does it list how many downs he played? I'd bet it's a far sight fewer than Spikes. ;)
The coaches are the ones that seem to like him - he was generally regarded as too light to make much of an impact anywhere last year, but apparently he was a beast in practice. I think it's a testament to his ability how far he has progressed despite the injuries that were holding him back. I still think that if James Wilson was producing Matt would enter the season as a backup, but if the guys that see him everyday deem him to be worthy to start I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, at least until it's proven otherwise. --- On Tue, 6/30/09, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: Nothing against Matt Patchan - but I don't understand why everyone is so in love with this guy and everything he wants to do. Granted the guy has potental - i think he was a 5 starer coming out of HS. But if you look at what he has done - I don't understand it. He had only 7 tackles last year (Spikes had 93 for comparison) - he is tied at #24 on the defense. page 6 http://www.gatorzone.com/football/stats/team.pdf The guy is always hurt. I don't understand the love affair with Patchan. I don't understand how he has proved himself? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
