I think it is also a part of the learning curve for most young people on the importance of taking expeditous care of administrative processes, including working your own email and snail mail inbox, in a timely manner. For some folks, it takes a few experiences that you'd better read that sfuff and respond by due dates. It's not the human or childhood norm. It has to be learned, usually before judges or credit managers.
