I am concerned about depth.

We seem surprisingly shallow at Corner. Anytime Wondy is a threat to
see the field, is an indication that there is not enough depth in
front of him.

O.K. Markihe Anderson is a former starter, but it is normal to play 3
corners in a nickel package, so he is a virtual starter. So, we have
no one behind those three, and one seems always dinged up.

I expect that we will build some good leads this year, and
oppositions will be passing the ball every down in the second half.
So, expect 3 CBs on the field a lot. How is it that we have 4 or 5
stud Safeties, yet play only 2 (and as little as 1 in the nickel)? We
are deep deep deep at Safety, but not at Corner. If we have a
starting Corner injured, we might be watching Wondy get lit up this
year.

TE: Eep. Stay healthy Aaron.

RB: We have several very good RBs, so depth is not the issue here -
the lack of a big bruising grind out a game back is. The Southern Cal
team that couldn't repeat had Reggie Bush in its backfield. I know
that Tebow helps the running game, but no one can tell me that they
wouldn't trade Moody for Bush regardless of who the QB is.

Also, remember the little things that had to go our way last year to
win it all. What stands out in my mind is a monster DL stopping OK on
3rd and goal and 4th and goal in short yardage. That dude is not
around anymore (I think he got kicked off the field). Had he not been
around last year, does OK score a TD? Do we still win the game?

Last, remember that the MNC game is played in Southern Cal's home
stadium. I expect us to go undefeated in the regular season, but
would not be real thrilled to play a MNC game in the opponent's home
stadium. Hopefully, Southern Cal's freshman QB messus up some early
in the year, so our opponent will be someone like ND or OSU.
