Sean and other Great Gators,
I feel your pain! More and more I see my friends' names in the obituaries. In 1996, I was afraid that I would join them when I was diagnosed with cancer and it had spread to my lymph nodes. Before then, death was never a reality for me. While I knew intellectually that I would not live forever, I don't think I really believed it. It is amazing how one little word can change your world and your perspective. I am proud to be an almost 14 year survivor, but I have learned to relish every day of the remaining days I am blessed to live. I confess that I am still somewhat unnerved every time I lose another friend, however.
