Both had already entered and run through the end zone. The play was
over.

Doe started showboating in the field of play and led to a fumble
that, thankfully, was not called.

Showboating after the play is a mild ire. In some cases, such as
Michael Irvin running into the tunnel - it's even humorous.

Showboating during the play - an act that could lead to a costly
turnover, is the epitome of what is bad about a "me first" attitude
in team sports. It's also dumb. At the very least, I like to take
solace in the assumption that our players are smarter and better
coached than the other team's players.
