I really don't care for Dooley at all. I've e-mailed him a few times and he's never replied, for one thing. He has Retinitis Pigmentosa, a fairly rare eye disease which I was also (mis)diagnosed as having, so I thought he might at least respond about that. He also once made a point to totally disrespect a sport I love - disc golf, and did not reply to that e-mail either. Just about every other Gator celebrity - at least those who broadcast, have ALWAYS responded to my e-mails. The few who showed up had a great time. Pizza, beer, Dooley. Pat has a heck of a sense of humor and a unique perspective on Gator sports and the associated personalities. I won’t bore with the details---don’t have time at the office anyway. However, he did run down a list callest “Top 10 Misconceptions about College Football”. Number 8 on the list “Lane Kiffen is a jerk”---he couldn’t believe that was on the list and scratched it off as a mistake. Also said Meyer not going anywhere and has had MAJOR offers from top tier college and NFL teams. Said Strong not going to Louisville, Charlie will only go to a school that would put him at the national forefront to win it all. Threw in the obligatory Nole jokes, though very kind and respectful to Bowden. Said the ‘Bama game a coin toss, but going with Tebow as he doesn ’t lose.
