The Richmond 'Spiders' are very much D-1.They are a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference.They've knocked off teams in the NCAA tourney----Auburn in '84;Indiana and Ga.Tech in '88(Sweet 16);Syracuse in '91(as a 15 seed);South Carolina in '98.They were last in the tourney in 2004.
