If Pel gets fired, it will be a very stupid thing. People griping about him seem to gripe about things that he has no control over. He recruits someone who ends up being a problem and leaving the program. OK, so how do you KNOW someone is good character, regardless of what you hear good from coaches and family and such? These kids have minds of their own, and I don't think coaches can be held responsible for them. One thing I like about Pel is that he put his foot down this year. It likely cost us a tourney birth because of the rough start and lack of chemistry, but I think the message is clear to current and future players. Nose clean or it's the pine for you. That said, I think he'll right the ship. Besides, if they fire him after a short stay, what coach in their right mind would come here? Go Gators! I got y'all going to the Sweet 16...
