I'm completely stunned at all this. Deonte Thompson simply meant Brantley is a more traditional quarterback when he said that. It was obvious in the way he was saying it and from the context.
Jeremy Fowler is an idiot. He has proven it over again. Now, we've got this headline. Urban mouths off? When Fowler completely twists a kids words to make it sound like he was dissing Tebow and Urban is the culprit? No, we shouldn't send lots of hate mail to the Sentinel or to any other of these mullet wrappers. We should just stop reading them. If the Sentinel's subscriptions fell off another twenty percent, perhaps they would hire a writer who tries to get a story straight. This is so stupid. Fowler is such an idiot. And so are the Miami writers, the Times Union writers, etc. Is the Gainesville Sun the only paper that can get a story right about the Gators? Apparently so. It was something Fowler wrote on Monday that got Meyer fired up, according to the blog. In a previous report, Fowler quoted Gators' wide receiver Deonte Thompson referring to former quarterback Tim Tebow as not being a "real quarterback." Thompson said it and Fowler reported it, Fowler said. Whether Thompson meant to insult Tebow isn't clear. But it apparently didn't sit well with Meyer.
