1. it was still beautiful, especially compared with the two weeks of brown we experienced in North Florida. 2. if you haven’t seen spring here, you haven’t seen spring. 3. if you were 25 years old before you ever saw snow, it’s still a marvel. So are frozen lakes. 4. They may not want to learn, but it’s still sorta like being on planet of the apes. We’re the humans, they’re the apes. 5. last night I went to the Bluebird café and saw 4 songwriters perform. These four have collectively written songs for Exile, Trisha Yearwood, Loretta Lynn, Darius Rucker, Dixie Chicks, etc. and one of them wrote and performed “I hope you dance”. Reminded me of the ’96 Gators. 6. In Nashville I get a local Gator football game every other year, basketball every year, baseball every other and soccer every other year. 7. Top that.

I really like living here. With all the summer rain we had one of the most beautiful autumns in memory. We had several beautiful snows over the winter.
