And, I hate it that fans can't get into practices and watch their team. But, as I recall, it was a reporter from this paper who caused a huge team distraction last year. Eliminating everyone from practice gets rid of unwanted reporters. So, that's the reality of college football at U of F. Last year, the first two practices were open to the public and press. Florida said closing off practices is common and is done at Florida State, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Oklahoma. Players and coaches will conduct media interviews twice this week and five days each of the next two weeks.
