Yep, even at the end of the game Arkansas could have won it. They beat
themselves with dumb mistakes, like Mallett's ill-fated attempt to throw out of
bounds.
We make fewer mistakes than them (Ark) and we win.
Instead of dreaming of how to shut Brantley down, Ala's spending valuable
practice time on Trey Burton. That will also help loosen their D.

  Keith,

Just want you to know I like you plan, don't think it will happen, but I like
your thinking.

I think we load the box with five dl and make McElroy beat us. I agree with
Steve, that you can't stop Bama's run game, but maybe you can contain it. If
we can get a lead similar to what Arky did, I think our D is good enough to
keep Bama from making a comeback.

Granted loading the box didn't work in last year's SECCG, but I still think
that is the way to beat Bama.

If Alabama will tell us what plays they are going to run the ball - we can
put in our 5 man defensive front.

If they tell us what plays they are going to pass the ball - we can put in
our 5 defensive backs.

  That's my game plan.

  1. LOL! Remember Arian Foster (UT)? Or even Knowshon Moreno (UGA)?
Supposedly stellar running backs that we weren't supposed to be able to contain
or shut down... but we DID. I can guarantee you that Mr. Ingram will get more
respect AND attention this week and he won't be as effective on Saturday as he
was last time we met.

I think if the same offense shows up two Saturday's in a row, we win by 20.

I agree - right down the line.

Arky definitely has a better downfield passing offense.

I think that if we can hit a lot of our short possession type passes,
that will have the same effect as a powerful running game - keep the chains
moving and their offense off of the field.

I don't think that we (or anyone else) can completely shut down the
Bama ground game, but we may have the horses to keep them from being able to
beat us with that alone. If we don't give them short fields or easy scores from
turnovers, and if the Bama loving SEC officials let both teams play equally I
think it could be a reaaly close, nerve-wracking contest.

How much does away versus home mean to Alabama?

My opinion - gives them a 7 point advantage
