If the announcers can figure out the run/pass stance, then I'm sure most of the
defensive coordinators in the country have got it figured LONG ago!!!! Isn't
Addazio the OL coach along with ALL the other duties he has assumed since UM's
"retirement"???

One thing that I have noticed is the dramatic increase in passes being tipped
or batted down at the line of scrimmage.

It seems that we average about 2 a day.

Brantley is about the same height as Tebow, and releases higher in his
throwing motion, so I am at a loss as to why we see so many.

Could the OL telegraphing run/pass with their stance have anything to do with
this?

There are a number of factors that may have contributed to Brantley's
ineffectiveness; bad coaching, forcing him to be an option quarterback,
injuries, getting blitzed on every down. But that doesn't explain consistently
throwing over receiver's heads. We also could be expecting too much (for
instance, Tebow did not have a 4th quarter game winning drive until the 2008
SEC Championship Game). That final part is why Brantley is and will remain the
starting quarterback. Florida can be patient with him and he still is the best
option as quarterback.
