In theory, having three players on the field with QB skills offers some great potential for creating confusion on defense. But something like that must be the icing on the cake of an already solid offense. If your offense sucks, that just makes it more confusing for your own players. I do, however, appreciate the fact that they tried something ...anything... to try to jump start the offense. We really had nothing to lose for trying.
Still, it was a failure and needs to be abandoned. The only real value I see that came from the three quarterback system is that it let us identify Reed as a potential starting QB. Of the three, he seems to have the most promise for next year (though he needs to learn to make his own reads). BTW, did anyone else notice that Burton took the first snap against the school out west? Does that mean that Brantley has already lost his position as starter?
