Defensive Coordinator: Bill Arnsparger
Arnsparger and Scnellengeberger went on to achieve great things on
their own.
Unplug the two Coordinators and Shula, despite continued success,
never achieved the same heights.
One could point out that Spurrier was never the same without Stoops.
It may be that we have simply lost too many talented assistants, and
that a head coach - no matter if he is a Hall of Famer like Shula -
can do it on his own.
