If Meyer wants to retire, that's fine with me. He has probably
amassed over 10 million given the low cost of living in Gainesville
and his modest lifestyle. With the recent bounceback in the market,
he is probably in a position to retire. If he has health reasons for
doing so, even more power to him.
I simply do not believe the claim that he is doing this to spend more
time with his family. I believe that is an excuse, a justification, a
rationalization. A whitewashing of his real motive.

All military jobs allow full retirement after age 38, assuming

I understand this time. According to the Marriott Web site, by the
end of this calendar year, I will have spent an average of three
nights a week in a hotel room. When my son's first tooth broke

while interviewing players at the Senior Bowl. The first time he
made a noise that sounded an awful lot like the word "Daddy," I
was in a hotel room in Los Angeles.
Andy Staples is a wuss.
Imagine how our soldiers abroad feel; or truck drivers, or just
about any other job that doesn't let you retire at age 46 to watch
your kids play sports.
