Ken I do agree this was a painful product to watch many times this year. As I had remarked in an earlier post this was the first time since some of the games in the Zook era that I actually turned off the TV and did something else during a couple of games. Charlie

All year long we heard Urban and Coach Addazi (no O allowed), talk about how they wanted to get the ball to the perimeter and use our speed. Guess what? Everyone has speed! When you watch Penn St. receivers beating our corners down the sideline, didn't you wonder why we weren't capable of that? There is no way they have more athletic WRs or CBs. There were things they could have done this year that would have eased the pain. They could have really modified the offense like in 2006, they could have said thanks Johnny, but this isn't working and played Burton or Reed all year. The crap they did play was embarassing and quite frankly some of the worst football I have ever seen. In fact, if this team had played the 1979 Gators, I bet they would have been 1-9-1. One thing is Gillislee's carries tended to come late in a game, that could attribute to his high per carry average. I am not saying that Mike is an All American RB, just that we don't know because too many people were touching the ball because they are either invested in the program and/or might break a 70 yard run. Yes, Urban has won a lot of games and championships, but like other coaches we know, he has a huge ego and will prove his system works, even if it means 5 losses... I mean, look at 2006, yes the defense was much better that year, but Urban and crew took their spread offense and adapted it to Leak's capabilities. We didn't do that this year.
