I think that it would save a lot of $ for non-revenue sports.

Much easier for a lacrosse team to catch a bus to Tallahassee than fly to 
Missouri.

Given the limited budgets of non-revenue sports, it would be nice to have some 
conference opponents that weren't 300 miles away.

UCF and USF would fit the bill as well.
