Paula and I just heard some sad news about Pat Summitt, women's basketball coach at Tennessee. Channel 20 in Gainesville reported that Pat has early onset dimentia. She has done a great deal to move women's basketball to a higher level of play.
On the same newscast, former men's basketball Coach Pearl was banned by the NCAA from collegiate coaching for 3 years for lying to NCAA investigators about recruiting violations.
