That is very sad about Pat Summit. What an amazing person she is. She's had such a huge impact on women's sports. There's a really good piece in the Washington Post about her. It will be very interesting to see how things play out. My guess is that the team will be just fine with assistant coaches calling the plays and Pat providing teaching and inspirational leadership. However, recruiting could suffer from the uncertainty of the situation.
I was also glad about the NCAA getting tough on Bruce Pearl. They should use bans more often for violations. It would make coaches think a lot harder about what's going on.
