I like him. When I first heard the announcement, I was thinking, "Who?!" But then I heard about his "HC in waiting" status at UTx and thought I'd give it some time. Then I saw him at the Gator club and had an opportunity to exchange a few words with him. Came away really liking him on a personal level and thinking, "If I were trying to make a choice about what school I was going to, I would definitely lean towards the school with this guy."
So far I am pleased. The offense is certainly more interesting and Chris Rainey looks like the Rainey expected from his HS days. Demps even looks to be a better RB now that they run out of a pro set. Defense has a few holes as does the O line; no receiver has really stepped up and the DBs are a bit young so it gives me concern. But this team looks to be in much better shape (and is less frustrating to watch, bad penalties not withstanding) than the distracted-Urban team of last year. I feel better in 3 games of Muschamp than I did this far in with Zook, and about even with this point in time under Urban.
