Word on swampgas is that Gillislee was injured and was not available to
play. Sooner or later I think fans will tire of the constant stream of
misinformation concerning injuries. IIRC the report on Thursday said
all except the DB that has been hurt all year would play.

Still puzzled over the decision to not put Gillislee on the field.
Couldn't have hurt to see what he could do after Rainey, Demps, and
Burton could not run up the middle....if he DID see the field, I
missed it. But in the 2nd half when we so badly needed something to
change in our favor, why not?

What I see is a lack of focus on the O-line. They look lost. Moving
from the zone blocking schemes to this pro-style has wrecked havoc
and left them confused.
I also see (and this is no surprise) no go to running back. Not
sure that would really matter with such poor run blocking, but we
have nothing in the way of a battering ram. Burton tries, but lets
face it-- he is no running back. He just doesn't have the speed
burst or the vision.
We also sorely lack any big possession type receivers. There is no
Riley Cooper. There is no one receiver that steps up game in and
game out to make a play. We don't have anyone that can go up and
fight for a jump ball like UGA had... twice. Reed is by far our
best... everyone else shows up occasionally, usually on a deep ball.
We can't live by the deep ball. We must have solid and reliable
threats across the middle and on the out patterns. Without that, our
tiny running backs running the sweeps are victimized by corner backs
who sold out because there is no receiving threat.
And what is wrong with Rainey? All those muffed punts and then two
dropped probably touchdowns on a slant... not to mention the fumble.
We need pro-style players to play a pro-style offense. That is
large, overly fed, strong O-line men and sizeable receivers mixed
with speed. We have speed, just no size.
It will take some time to fill all the gaps. I hate to say it, but
will be longer than 3 years. Even incoming recruits won't make a
real impact for 2 years. For Muschamp and Weiss's systems to take a
hold, they need their type of players. Those types won't be
difference makers until they have been in the system and in the
weight room for at least 2 years...
Its going to take awhile, but the good news is, if fans and decisions
makers allow, it will work and work well with time.

What is surprising is the seemingly total lack of team discipline:
penalties are killing us, 2 delay of game calls in a row is
inexcusable, continued failure to execute good fundamentals. Total
frustration!

We knew this would be like this this year guys. This shouldnt be too
much of a surprise. Some things.. Yes. Record somewhat of their
performance... No. Not surprised.

We are a really bad team, at least I think we are. See I wasn't at
any of the practices, so I'm not sure, but I believe we are poorly
coached, poorly disciplined, poorly conditioned, not taking
advantage of what few playmakers we have and we are seemingly unable
to make in game gameplan changes.
They can play all the mind games they want, Brantley is starting, no
he isn't. We play all faceless nameless opponents, blah, blah,
blah. What we have is a coach who is getting paid millions for on
the job training. We are Florida, we shouldn't have to settle for
this. And no, I am not an entitled Gator, but I do expect a better
performance than we have seen the last four games.
I did go into this year expecting some bumps, 7-5 or 8-4 was what I
expected. I figured we would lose to Bama and LSU, but not by 4
TDs! We have more talent than Auburn or UGA, but still we lose.
Yes the talent we have was recruited for the spread, but isn't it
the coaches job to modify his system to work with the talent
available? And it's not like pro set players aren't the same ones
being recruited for the spread, I mean, we have 3 OL, 3 WR, 1 QB and
numerous D players starting in the NFL, all products of the spread.
We look lost and this coaching staff installs zero confidence in me.
If we were showing some improvement, I could at least be
encouraged, but we aren't. I was hoping to see the light at the end
of the tunnel, but unfortunately, it is a train....
Time to stat drinking, how is it said, so it will feel like I got
kicked by a mule in the morning?

We are officially irrelevant.
Muschamp's biggest challenge will be to get this teamto to
matter. He is dangerously close to being the next Zook. I hope
not. I never want to be Zooked again.
As Stephen eluded to earlier, we have a long way to go to have the
personnel to compete. Its going to be a long 2 years...
Oline looked incapable. Perhaps the zone blocking recruits can't
handle a pro style blocking scheme. We need to be bigger AND
stronger.
We have no receivers. None. Where was debose? Non existent.
Much like our downfield threat. These guys may be able to play a
spread, but not a pro style. We need a possession receiver.
Someone with size, like Alli.... a monster size. Much like the TWO
receivers who caught fade routes on our tiny DBs.
