I guess this will apply to the Gator Bowl as well. I wonder if this will cut down on the drinking at the Fla/Ga game? While I have not lived close enough to go to the game in many years, I had stopped going because of the drinking being so bad. Has it gotten better? When I had quit, the "fans" had become so drunk that my wife and I were almost afraid to cheer for fear it might incite some drunken GA fan. The Florida fans were almost as bad with their drunken profanity.
BTW, the first year the Gator Bowl began to check containers, I had a friend who was a policeman in charge of one of the gates. At his gate, the police confiscated 55 gallons of hard liquor. I am getting closer and closer to retirement and returning to God's country. Last spring we bought a house in Lecanto (near Crystal River.) Hopefully I will be able to go to a few BB games this winter. In a few years, I might even be able to get to some football games.
