Part of what concerns me is that Coach Mush last week said he was going to play him some and that he had made great progress picking up his blocking assignments. Kevin said earlier that he was having some frustration about not playing.
I know that he is a legacy and that his dad supports us. However, I think if I was in his position and the coach had said what he did, I would want to know what I had done to deserve to stay on the bench. Matt Jones, a sophomore, had 176 yards rushing and Mack Brown had a good game on more limited touches. Hopefully we get Valdez back soon and they all appear more than capable. That’s not enough? Why not redshirt Taylor at this point? And I’m not worried about him becoming disillusioned, he is at his dad’s alma mater and I’m pretty sure he knows his time will come.
