Those of you coming to Jacksonville for the UF/UGa game need to be aware of a major traffic issue.
Last week a Navy Ship hit the Mathews Bridge in downtown causing structural damage, a couple of steel beams were ripped off the bottom of the bridge. The bridge was closed indefinitely, I've seen estimates of 1 - 3 months for repairs.. The bridge was closed yesterday for the Jaguars Game, but that crowd is dwarfed by the UF/UGa game day traffic. If you are not familiar with the Mathews Bridge it is one of 2 bridges that bring traffic directly to the stadium and if it's closed, getting downtown is going to be a nightmare for the game. You've been warned.
