I agree that Kerwin could be lured from JU simply because if he can prove his offense works at the next level for a few years, he'll be taken seriously for HC positions at the FBS level. Agreed on Jimmy Ray, in fact I had just said to my sister, "What happened to our old O-line coach under Spurrier, didn't he leave for Duke? He's not working, right?" The assistant that we really cannot lose at UF is the one defensive guy (whose name escapes me at the moment) - he's a hell of a recruiter and we'd lose a bunch of current and prospective guys if he's gone. Texas fired their DC earlier in the year and they are playing better, the Baltimore Ravens fired Cam Cameron late last year and went on to win the Super Bowl, meaning it's been done before with some success. Going forward, I think it would be better to have people who really want to be in G'ville and stay for a while.something I don't think Joker Philips really wants to do. How about promoting Joker Philips to OC? While we are at it, demote Durkin back to LB coach and hire Randy Shannon away from Arky to be our DC.
