I read that and the article said they opened in 1973 which was the year
I actually moved full time to Gainesville. It's funny I don't have any
particular memories of shopping there but do recall a wire and
cheese/deli type place around 43rd which may have been the 43rd st
deli. It also said that when they first opened it was illegal to serve
food outdoors in Gainesville but I seem to remember a couple of places
on University maybe Leonardo's and Snuffy's having outdoor seating.
