Yep the old memory is not so good anymore. The place I was thinking of
was I believe in the same shopping center with a Publix but it was in a
separate building out in front. Seems Like I remember them serving
sandwiches also. It was close to the Millhopper if I recall correctly. I
didn't live in Gainesville after 1978 so I think it was sometime between
1973-78.

43rd Street, which was 1986. There was a wine/cheese place that we
would walk to, but I can't place the exact location or name. In 1979,

I read that and the article said they opened in 1973 which was the
year I actually moved full time to Gainesville. It's funny I don't
have any particular memories of shopping there but do recall a
wire and cheese/deli type place around 43rd which may have been
the 43rd st deli. It also said that when they first opened it was
illegal to serve food outdoors in Gainesville but I seem to
remember a couple of places on University maybe Leonardo's and
Snuffy's having outdoor seating.
