As a starting point, here is what I posted on the Wish List user forum on
the web site:

"We currently use the DNS blacklist capability in our GBflash systems with
the ORDB and ORBZ lists. This has been a big help in dealing with the ever
increasing barrage of spam. There are a couple of things that Id like to
see added to the Gnatbox anti-spam aresenal. 1) Id like to have a local IP
based blacklist on the Gnatbox that we can put our own lists of servers to
block. I currently use a remote access filter on port 25, but that doesnt
send the smtp reject, and it doesnt log the reject in the same format as
the traditional blacklists. Id like the logging to be the same format
since I have a script that summarizes the rejects.

2) Id like a local IP based whitelist. If an IP is on this list, the email
proxy should pass it even if it would be flagged by the local or DNS RBL
lists. Ive recently run into my first case of a email admin for a server
we want mail from not being willing to close an open relay.

BTW, it sounds like the MAPS folks have started to trademark stuff like
"MAPS" and "RBL". While youre in there, it would probably be smart to
change descriptions to the generic "DNS Black Lists" and "DNSBL" on the
screens and log files. Gotta keep the legal weasels happy :-)"

We've been averaging a bit over 500 emails bounced per day, with a max of
something like 2200.
